Albert Barnhart died at the home of his daughter last Monday morning. The funeral was held Wednesday at the house at 1 o'clock and at the S. D. B. church at 2 o'clock conducted by Dr. Platts.
Mr. Barnhart was born at ------, Ohio, Jan. 12, 1832. In 1844 the family moved to Milton, Wis., and bought land lying in the corners of the towns of Milton, Lima and Johnstown. There were four children in the family, two brothers and two sisters. In 1860 Mr. Barnhart married Emily Clarke, daughter of Alvit Clarke. His wife died May 12, 1892. Since his wife died Mr. Barnhart has been taking care of his mother, who is totally blind. He has been a member of the S. D. B. church since 1856.
Last Monday morning Mr. B. went out and did his chores and came in and ate breakfast apparently as well as common. After breakfast he went up to his son-in-law's, Geo. Saunders, and as the two were standing by the fence Mr. B. put his hand to his head and fell. Mr. Saunders standing by caught him and carried him into the house where he passed away in just a few minutes. Mr. B. leaves four daughters and a son to mourn their loss.
