Facts and Events
BIRTH: 1842 is given as the birth year in Bowen's Indexes to Lenawee Cemetery records and (by interpolation) from the 1860 Census of the United States. DEATH: Death Records - County Clerk's Office. Bowen's Indexes. OCCUPATION: Housewife. RESIDENCES: 1900 - U.S. Fed. Census - Rollin, Lenawee Co., Michigan, USA. OBITUARY: She was a good wife and mother, always interested more in family than in the outside world. During the last nine years of her life she was afflicted by rheumatism being mostly unable to walk. The death of her grandson James Dean caused her such sorrow that she never fully recovered. Her husband preceded her by exactly eight months, a period in which she became totally blind. Her sons and daughters missed her sorely since the counsels of a wise and loving mother surpaseth the wisdom gained from others. [Irene Binns Stafford] A further footnote follows - Adeline Aiken Binns was a woman of industrious tendency, in her later years a great sufferer with rheumatism, which affliction she bore patiently 8 or 9 years. CONFLICT: Spelling of second name. This appears to be a familial name inherited from her grandmother. INITIAL_SOURCE: Ferguson. References
