OBITUARY: James Binns was an honest man, full of good common sense. He was a charter member of the Masonic Order of Addison, Michigan, as was his brother Joseph.

A note inserted at this record appears to be out of continuity but is recorded so that it's sense is not lost.
"The Binns family here left the Friends church, it having been destroyed by fire which was set by a member of the church rather than have it desecrated by being used for worldly purposes.
"However, a Friends' minister officiated at James Binns funeral but the order is gone now there being no church near."
