Obituary Shell Rock News, June 25, 1908

"Mrs. Adelia Scribner died Sunday morning at the home of her son, R. L. Scribner, in Waterloo, her demise being due to cancer of the liver and complications. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning and the remains brought to Shell Rock for interment. Burial services were conducted at Riverside Cemetery Tuesday forenoon by Rev. Beeman of Waterloo. Mrs. Scribner was at one time a resident of Shell Rock and she is affectionately remembered here by many friends. She is survived by three children, R. L. Scribner and Mrs. A. Livingston, Waterloo, and James of Council Bluffs. Her husband died last February."
