Questionable Information Found
Adelaide M. was born about 1851. I find her listed as Maria A. on the 1860 Census with her father and grandfather. No wife is listed. She probably died at or after childbirth. There is no wife listed for the younger Benjamin. There is a conflict of who is her mother. In The Tingley Family Revised, Volume II (Being a Record of the Descendants of Samuel Tingley of Malden, Mass. in both the Male and Female Lines)., compiled by Marian McCauley Frye., they listed Adelaide M. Tingley-Mead (I.D. #08-00703; page 10) as being the daughter of Benjamin Tingley and Violet Jane Anderson. However, Benjamin Tingley marries Violet Jans Anderson on 2nd of June 1862 in Ingham County. Violet Tingley is listed by herself on the 1870 census.
