  20. "Adam sold a tonic called "Purina", it contained alcohol and Prohibitionput him out of business. He became manager of the Hartman Farm, coveringseveral thousand acres including a hotel, dairy, vineyard, orchards, andhouses for the help. Part of this farm later became part of the Catholiccemetery. Adam then bought his own farm, the Wayside. He was presidentof the Cattleman's Association of America. Adam was killed in aautomobile accident returning home from helping Rube, who was ill."

If a lifelong resident of Columbus,the deceased is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Julius A. ofPittsburgh; two daughters, Mrs. J. F. Stevens of Kansas City, Missouri,and Mrs. F. W. Martling of Columbus, and three grandchildren. The bodywill be at the Egan Ryan Company and burial will be in St. JosephCemetery probably Tuesday. Services will be held at a church to beannounced later."
