From a Coughton deed is found that "Robert, son of Adam de Throkemorton , with the assent of his wife, Prudence, grants to Richard Gorwi of Thr okemarton, four acres in the East Field of Throkemorton". Another Cough ton deed shows that Robert de Throckmorton granted one-half a virgate i n Throckmorton to Alured de Throckmorton, "of which one-half acre abuts o n the lands of Matilda, relict of Adam". A Coughton deed shows that Robert, son of Peter de Compton, with the as sent of his wife Lucy, grants to Simon de Throckmorton, son of Robert " 1/2 virgate, with a house, adjacent in the village of Throkemerton, hel d by Walter Brune".

There is also a deed at Coughton of Robert, son of Adam de Throckmarton, granting to Alured, son of William Francis de Throkemorton, one-half virgate in Throkemerton, of which one-half acre abuts on the lands of Matilda, relict of Adam, son of Robert. See reproduction of deed. Robert de Throkemerton paid a fine for a license in 1252 (Fine Rolls, 36 H. III). In 1275, memorandum that in the Kalends of August the bishop granted dispensation to Robert de Throkemorton by the authority of the Holy Cross. (From Episcopal Register of the Diocese of Worcester, Register of Bishop Godfrey Giffard, Worcester Historical Society, p. 81 Vol. II). **Richard Roland was a grandson of Henry de Throkemerton (1200) who was Robert's great grandfather, as he was a son of Henry's daughter by William Roland. Wickliffe Throckmorton as children but he states he has no proof and lists them because they are contemporary with Simon and Adam. Comment 2: was born in 1231 in Throckmorton married in about 1250 in Throckmorton and died in 1306 in Throckmorton Comment 3: his father died before 1246 but Robert's son married on 1237
