From Carolyn Breckenridge, reporting on her grandmother Ada Florence Walker: Granny was a wonderful role model for all of us with her loving patience and acceptance of all of us. When she found herself pregnant with Miller, her father, Tom, refused to allow her to marry Jim Weathersbee, son of Capers and Martha Weathersbee. Jim was sent overseas and eventually married someone else. Granny wore the ring he had given her until her death.
