Personal History

A land patent for the purchase of 78.95 acres was issued to Abraham Carpenter of Guernsey co., Ohio. The land was described as W½ SE¼ Sec. 27, T. 8, R. 8, Ohio River Survey;[1] it is in the township of Seneca which was then a part of the county of Guernsey.
