    326 acres 17 Jun 1796 in Montgomery County, VA, on Pulma? Branch of Meadow
    Creek, a branch of Little River waters, of New River adjoining Ezekiel Howard &
    Grant No. 34, pg 357. Sometime prior to 1801 Abner Lester moved to Russell
    County where he purchased land and settled for a few years." In 1832 Abner
    Lester applied for a Revolutionary War pension. From the Montgomery List of
    War Records: "Sworn of Captain Daniel Triggs Company 9, September 1777."
