  3. Source:Bond, Henry. Family Memorials. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 275, makes an awful mess of Abial. First he gives the birth date 9 Apr 1717, apparently Bond's assumed fix to a conflict caused by his own incorrect date for sister Abigail (1712-13 instead of 1711-12). Then he gives Abial's husband to Abigail in conflict with the father's will. But on p. 433, he names Thomas Slaton's wife correctly as Abiel, not Abigail.
