Aaron Lauchnor, well known and life-long resident of the upper end of Lehigh county, died Saturday morning at his residence along Slatington R. F. D. No. 2 of cerebral hemorrhages, aged 73 years, 11 months and 28 days. The deceased was born in Heidelberg township, Lehigh county, and was a son of the late Joseph and Levina (nee Fritzinger) Lauchnor. He was married to Miss Mary Alice Schleicher who preceded him in death fourteen years ago. He is survived by two sons and four daughters, Harvey, Slatington R. F. D. No. 2; Algier, Slatedale; Mrs. Edwin W. Werley, Jordan; Mrs. George Shoemaker, Walnutport R. F. D. No. 1; Mrs. Preston Blose, Slatedale; Mrs. Clinton Blose, Slatington R. F. D. No. 2. There also survive thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, James Lauchnor, of Utah; one sister, Mrs. James German, Slatington R. F. D. No. 2. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. from the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Werley, Slatington R. F. D. No. 2. Services and burial at Heidelberg church. Rev. J. H. Longacre will officiate.
