Will transcript is from a typescript passed to me by the Shaffer family. The source and transcriber are unknown. No probate information is mentioned. The typescript indicates that there were five holes in the original which it refers to as "portion destroyed" and indicated by the drawing of a cloud approximating the shape. Each hole covered multiple lines of text. The missing portions are indicated by underline below. Where the intended text can be guessed it is inserted in brackets []. It appears likely that the creator of the typescript may have made errors in interpreting the original document, and particularly that he did not recognize the given name of the son Kemp Taliaferro Strother.
