This indenture made this 19th day of April in the year of our Lord 1824 Between John Allen & Betsy his wife of the County of Harrison and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Robert Madison of the County afd. and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Allen & Betsy his wife for & in consideration of the sum of One hundred & ninety six Dollars & Seventy five cents current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold, and by these presents do grant bargain sell & confirm unto the sd. Robert Madison heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County of Harrison on the waters of Mill Creek containing Twenty five acres & 3/4 more or less and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a stump [at?] Craigs old Corner thence N. 78 poles to a Sugar tree Corner thence N 51º W 37 poles to a stake Corner thence South 59 poles to a Mulberry Corner thence S 84º W 36.[?] 5[3?] poles to a white oak Corner thence S. 16 1/2 W. 42 poles to a Stake on Wm. Chandlers line thence North 89 1/2 South sd. line 76 poles to the Beginning. Together with all and singular the premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the same [is?] hereby conveyed with the appurtances unto the sd. Robert Madison his heirs & assigns forever and the sd. John Allen & Betsy his wife for themselves their heirs executors & administrators the aforesaid tract of land and premises unto the sd. R. Madison & his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever they do & will warrant & forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the sd. John Allen & Betsy his wife hereunto set their hands & seals the day and date first above written.

This Deed of Conveyance from John Allen & Betsy his wife to Robert Madison was acknowledged before me by the said John Allen & Betsy his wife she being examined as the law directs relinquished all her right title interest & dower to the within mentioned premises and ordered to be recorded.
