thence with his line SW1 and 1/2E 214 poles to a stake corner 12 links from a hickory and 24 links from a black oak both marked as pointers and in McBarnetts line (on this line Green & Overton have one acre a per deed to them)
thence with Mrs. Barnetts line S29W 75 poles 19 and 1/4 links to a spanish oak, black oak and sweet gum, corner to Jo[seph?] [R?] Wilson on land in the original line of whole tract which this is a part

Between W. W. Jones
and Henry Cates f Mc both of Henderson County
Witnesseth the said Jones agrees and binds himself to furnish the [sic] Cates seven acres of land to cultivate in corn the present year and six acres of land to cultivate in tobacco four acres of which the said Cates to clear up by chopping down and making into rails all timber suitable for that purpose for which Jones agrees to pay him One Dollar per hundred, and such timber as is not suitable for making rails the said Cates is to deaden
The said Jones agrees to furnish the said Cates sufficient team and utensils for the cultivating of the above named land and sufficient provision for himself and family, and which is not to exceed $100 in amount and is to be taken from the said Cates part of the crop by the said Jones and also $96.32 which amount the said Cates acknowledges himself indebted to the said Jones and hereby gives said Jones a lien on his part of the crop in order to secure the payment of the same, together with the $100 above mentioned
The said Cates binds to give his undivided attention to the cultivation of the crop cultivating it well, one half of which he is to give to the said Jones, the other half to be his
The said Jones also agrees to give the said Cates a garden spot sufficient for himself and family

Thence with the west line of said Hancock’s lot to the corner of Wm. W. Jones lot
Thence with the line of said Jones lot to within 10-14 fee of Clemens line
Thence with the Clemens line to the beginning supposed to contain about one acre
This lot was originally sold to H. M. Hancock and a bond for a deed given which bond appeared to have been lost but in view of the fact that the said Hancocks title was afterwards transferred to the said W. W. Jones I hereby enter into the above covenant

Commencing 10 feet N of the line of J. R. Wilson’s old survey as deed him by S. R. Wilson 10 to 14 feet east of the old Clemens line ten paces being given as part of streets and running parallel ten feet all the way from the corner of J. R. Wilson line to the corner of Mrs. Marion Hancock lot
Thence with west line of said Hancock lot to the corner of the first named lot
Thence with the line of said lot to within 10 or 14 feet of Clemens line
Thence with Clemens line to the beginning
Said lots are supposed to contain about one and ¾ acres more or less
