There appear to be two lines of Linn's who settled, perhaps briefly, in Old Chester County, PA, prior to the Revolution.

Charles Linn

Charles Linn died in Old Chester in 1746, leaving several sons and daughters. (see Notebook:Hugh Linn)

A current working idea of his family relationships are shown in the following diagram.

William Linn

This line has not been researched as yet for this article.

According to one undocumented and ephemeral source (See History of the Wescott Family)

The wife of William Linn, the immigrant, died in Ireland, leaving him with one son, William Jr. About 1732 father and son emigrated from the north of ireland, settling in Chester County. They remained in chester for only a few years, and in 1736 purchased land in Franklin County, near Roxbury. In 1751 they appear on the assessment list of Lurgan Township, Cumberland County, William Sr. is believed to have died here "at nearly a 100 yrs old."

How much of the above can be documented is as yet unknown.
