Noah Cadwell of Winchester state of Newhampshire entered his intentions of Marriage with Lucinda Smith of Warwick } November 2'd 1806.
William Woodcock of Keen state of Newhampshire entered his intentions of Marriage with Lucinda Smith of Warwick } November 20th 1806.]

  2. The explanation for the confusing intentions is not known, but it appears Noah Cadwell married a different person. So possibly the town clerk misrecorded the potential bride, or the intentions were abandoned and Lucinda chose a different suitor. Regardless, Allred presents no information on these people, except that she misidentifies William Woodcock's wife as Lucy, d/o of Josiah Smith. But since Josiah's will names her as Lucy Lealand, she cannot be involved in either of these two marriages. There are several poorly documented Smith families in Warwick, notably Family:Abner Smith and Marcy Goddard (1) which present alternative candidates for Lucinda's parents.
