Noah Cadwell of Winchester date of Newhampshire entered his intentions of Marriage with Lucinda Smith of Warwick } November 2'd 1806.
William Woodcock of Keene state of Newhampshire entered his intentions of marriage with Lucinda Smith of Warwick } November 20th 1806.

  3. There is no definitive way to interpret the confusing intentions. Did Lucinda Smith chose a different suitor? Did the town clerk misrecord the name of Noahd's wife? But it appears Noah did not marry Lucinda Smith. Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 51, 255, 307 has no further information on any of the three names involved in the two intentions above, except William Woodcock's wife is misidentified as Lucy, the daughter of Josiah Smith, which is shown to be wrong by father Josiah's will, which names her as Lucy Lealand. It is assumed that Noah is the man born in Wilbraham in 1781 since that is the only person of the name found, but there is not evidence for that identification.
