William was a furniture store merchant, and he and Clara lived in the village of Payne, Ohio, in Paulding County.

A newspaper article appeared, "Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Lamb are moving into their beautiful new home at the corner of Main and Oak streets, and hope to be able to have their New Year's festivities there." [Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, Thursday 30 December 1915, pg. 11]
