link It would appear from this deed that his first wife Grave was a widow of Thomas Smith of Charlestown with whom she had a son Thomas Smith before her marriage to William Chard. This may be a clue to the identity of Thomas Smith butcher of Charlestown who died 1690 and married Sarah Boylston.
