Recently Miss Olin was guest of honor at a linen shower given by Mrs. Gleason Weed, Mrs. Earl Dingman, and Miss Anna Tryon. Oswego Palladium-Times, 26 June 1943: DINGMAN--OLIN Sandy Creek-- Miss Daisy Marie Olin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Olin of Orwell, became the bride of Warren Earl Dingman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dingman of Lacona, Saturday afternoon... in First Methodist Church. The Rev. Herbert Harrison performed the ceremony. Mrs. H. Floyd Blount presided at the organ... The church was decorated with garden flowers. Members of the bridal party included Miss Wilma Woolson, maid of honor, and four bridesmaids: Miss Gladys Olin, sister of the bride; Miss Virginia Pretory; Miss Helen LaCelle, cousin of the bride, and Miss Ella Jane Ridgeway. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Daisy Thousand. Attending the bridegroom was Henry Taylor, uncle. Ushers were Harwood Chrisman and Maurice Newman. The bride was gowned in a white dress... The bride was given in marriage by her father. Following the wedding ceremony the party was entertained at the home of Mrs. T.H. Tanner... Mr. Dingman is a graduate of Sandy Creek High School class of '38. He has a yeoman 2c rating on a submarine, being on active duty about three years. He expects to be transferred to special duties in Portsmouth Navy Yard. On Monday the bridegroom will return back to duty following a 10-day furlough at his home. The bride is a graduate of Tuesday's '43 class of Sandy Creek Central School. The couple will reside at 57 Daniel ST, Portsmouth NH. References
