This marriage took place within days of the death of Lottie's elderly first husband. Vern was only 20 and Lottie 22. Lottie already had 3 children and was expecting a fourth. One wonders how long the marriage lasted as her obituary calls her Lottie Collins, her name as married to her first husband, Tom Collins.
