    In the year one thousand eight hundred thirty-five, the eighteenth of the month April at ten o'clock in the morning appeared before us Adam Lanzer mayor (or deputy) administrator of the civil register of the municipality of Dörrmoschel, canton Rockenhausen, District Kaiserslautern, Rhine Sector, Kingdom of Bavaria.

    Valentin Lanzer, twenty-four years and four months old, a linen weaver resident in Dörrmoschel, adult son of Friedrich Lanzer and Maria Margaretha Thorn, his wife, both farmers living in the same place and with their permission to marry, and Karolina Stolz, twenty years and seven months old, without a trade, resident in Ransweiler, minor daughter of Christian Stolz, in life a blacksmith living in Ransweiler, and bound to him in marriage at the time, his wife Karolina Susanna born Müller, and lay before us;

    1. The birth record of the bridegroom, born in Dörrmoschel, the eighteenth October eighteen hundred and ten.
    2. His release from military service.
    3. The birth record of the bride, born in Ransweiler the eighth of August eighteen hundred and fourteen.
    4. The death certificate of the father, died in Ransweiler, the second of October, eighteen hundred and thirty.

    And required of us, to publish their marriage, on the main doors of our municipal building for the first time on Sunday the eighth of the month of March, of the year on thousand eight hundred and thirty-five at twelve o'clock at midday and the second time on Sunday, the fifteenth of the month of March of the year one thousand, eight hundred thirty-five at twelve o'clock in the midday according to law.

    Since no objection was made known to this marriage, we have granted the above-named request, and have announced this publicly, and we read the required paragraph 6 related to marriage from the register of civil laws, and there upon asked the groom and bride, if they were determined to marry as man and wife, and each having answered individually with a yes to this question, so we have declared in the name of the law, that Valentin Lanzer and Karolina Stolz are bound together by marriage.

    Whereupon the present document has been produced in the presence of the following witnesses: 1. Michael Ames, Adjunct und Adherent, thirty-seven years old, 2. Adam Graff, Linen weaver and brother-in-law of the bride, thirty years old, both resident in Ransweiler. 3. Valentin Brunn, Adherent and Innkeeper, fifty years old, 4. Friedrich Klein, Adherent, fifty years old both resident in Dörrmoschel.

    Prepared with these same people, and the contracting parties, and in the presence of the parents, after being read, has been signed, with the exception of the mother of the groom, who declared that she is not able to write.
