"I was married once in '32, really because we didn't want to get married but we decided something is going to happen and we might as well get married, which turned out to be very lucky, because my first husband was an ardent pacifist, and was very much on the 'Wanted' list of the Nazis and had to leave very early, and I, of course, had to leave with him. We went to Paris. I spent six years with him, and then I got divorced. We were married just three years. We left in '33, and I got divorced in '35."
