Family:Unknown Caldwell and Unknown (1)

James, George and Robert Caldwell came from Ireland and migrated to "Beverley Manor" in early Augusta County, Virginia. James Caldwell acquired 600 acres in 1738, George Caldwell acquired 405 acres in 1740 and Robert Caldwell acquired 200 acres sometime after 1740, all receiving grants from William Beverley. Additional research is need to prove any relationship between the three early Caldwell settlers. Some researchers believe they may be related to the Caldwell family of Prince Edward and Amelia County, Virginia that migrated to the Cub Creek area of early Augusta County, but additional research is needed to prove any relationship between them.
