    moved with his parents to North Dakota in March 1882
    married Gunhild Inanda Johnson (known as Julia) 1 Jan 1902 in Edinburg, North Dakota
    moved to Saskatchewan and homesteaded in 1904
    died 26 Dec 1955 in Watrous, Saskatchewan and was buried in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery there
    He was a farmer, postmaster, blacksmith and inventor.

    His parents stated that they were from the Bjorndal farm when they immigrated to the United States in 1882.
