Sir Thomas de Hastings was a younger brother of Nicholas de Hastings, lord of Allerston, co. Yorks., ancestor of the Earls of Huntingdon. By his marriage with Christian [? de Strickland], Sir Thomas de Hastings had three sons- Thomas, Nicholas (murdered at Crosby Ravensworth in 1286), and William, all of whom died sine prole.
