"Thomas Stow … m. Roxbury 4 December 1639 Mary Griggs. (This marriage is published as 'Thomas Stone and Mary Cragg.' The surname Stone was relatively rare in Roxbury at this time and Cragg was unknown. Thomas Stow's wife was named Mary, and their first child was born at Braintree on 3 February 1640[/1?] [NEHGR 3:248]. Thomas Griggs of Roxbury was old enough to have had a daughter of the age of Thomas Stow's wife, but this identification is not certain [Parker-Ruggles 474-80; NEHGR 123:171-72].)"
