Thomas H. Russell [Parents] was born on Jun 7 1761 in Cumberland Co., PA. He died on Jul 11 1850 in Doran's Cove, Jackson Co., AL. He was buried in Doran's Cove near Bridgeport, AL (across from Russell Cave). He married Tabitha Jenkins on Dec 2 1784 in York Co., Camden Dist., SC.

Thomas was a Private in the Light Dragoons in the Revolutionary War from NC. Moved to moved to Doran's Cove about 1814. He purchased land from his brother in law, James Doran, and settled in the area of Russell Cave (AKA Doran's Cove). This property stayed in the Russell family until 1928 when it was sold to Oscar Ridley. Russell Cave is named for Thomas Russell.

Tabitha Jenkins [Parents] was born on Jun 18 1770. She died on Jan 13 1861 in Doran's Cove, Jackson Co., AL. She was buried in Doran's Cove near Bridgeport, AL (across from Russell Cave). She married Thomas H. Russell on Dec 2 1784 in York Co., Camden Dist., SC.
