↑Source:Mayflower Descendant, p. 43:26, "Alden Notes" by Alicia Crane Williams, postulate the John Dunton baptized 21 Apr 1728 was a son of Thomas and Deborah's who died young, as there is no sign of him in the father's probate. However, the baptism, as found in NEHGR, Vol. 57, p. 25, sounds like an adult baptism, as it says "* * *, & were baptized", and doesn't label him as anybody's son. Likewise, Thomas' own baptism 28 Jan 1727/28 (on same page) says he "* * *, & was baptized". Probably the undecipherable phrase was something like o.c. {owned the covenant] or a similar variation.
