    p 44 - ... Simon and Eve Frankenfield, were on their voyage to America in 1748. They were natives of Nassau, in the Rhine River valley, Germany, sailed from Rotterdam on the ship "Elliot, and landed in Philadelphia, October 25, 1748. They settled on a tract of land in Springfield Township, on a branch of Cook's Creek. Simon dies in 1760, and lies buried at Springfield Church; a rude head-stone marks the spot inscribed S F 1760. Simon and Eve Frankenfield raised seven children: PHILIP PETER... HENRY... ADAM... LEONARD... ANNA DOROTHY... MARIA... MARY
