    p 44 - ... Adam Frankenfield, who was born on the ocean while his parents, Simon and Eve Frankenfield, were on their voyage to America in 1748. They were natives of Nassau, in the Rhine River valley, Germany, sailed from Rotterdam on the ship "Elliot," and landed at Philadelphia, October 25, 1748. They settled on a tract of land in Springfield Township, on a branch of Cook's Creek.

    p 45 - ADAM, born on shipboard i 1748; died Feb. 15, 1832. He was also a soldier in the Revolutionary Army, under Captain Josiah Bryan, of Springfield Militia. He married Catharine .........., and raised seven children: Henry, MICHAEL, Leonard, Abraham, Jacob, Philip and Catharine who married George Gruver.

    Married second wife, Elizabeth Strawsnitter. Eight children: Anna Margaret, Samuel, Elizabeth, Isaac, Eve, Susanna, Simon, and Christiana. Married third wife, ............ Adam and his three wives are all buried at Springfield Church.
