Family:Samuel Torkington and Annie Murtagh (1)

According to a nephew of this couple - a brother of my mother's, their children were: Alfred, Joe, Winnie, Margaret, Mary then Frank who was the youngest. The informant was friendly with Frank.

Arnold and Florence Hagerty's old address book had Frank, Alf and Joe Torkington. Also Mary under her married name: Greathead; and Winnie under her married name: Melia. According to Lancashire BMD, Margaret married John Lord, and the names "Margaret Lord" and "Jack Lord" used to come up in family conversations.

My Grandmother, Agnes Murtagh, was a witness to this marriage.
