According to the Kilgore family Page Robert and Winnie also had a son William M. Kilgore b 5 June 1769 d 21 nov 1853 married Virginia Jane Osborne about 1791. William and Virginia Kilgore had a son Robert (Cape) Kilgore b 15 Jan 1809 married Elizabeth Carter 5 July 1832 in Scott co Va. Robert and Elizabeth Kilgore had a daughter Mary B. Kilgore b 28 Aug 1834. In the Kilgore family page they have her marrying Logan s. Powers. I believe this may be wrong and here is why: 1. in the 1860 census the Mary that is wife of Logan S. Powers is 22 - Mary in the home of her parents in 1850 is 15. I don't believe they are the same person. 2. Mary's brother John Whitfield Kilgore went to Hunt Co TX. 3. I believe Mary married James Monroe Carter (son of Elijah E. Carter and Matilda Taylor) and also moved to Hunt and Collin co Area of TX. There were also other members of James Monroe Carters family who moved to the same place. Can anyone let me know if I am right and the Kilgore family page wrong in listing her husband as Logan S Powers.
