    "Olmstead, Richard. Son of James and Jane (Bristow), … m. Frances Slany, buried 10 Sept. 1630, sister of Thomas Slany of London, haberdasher, whose will, proved 28 July 1638, gave legacies to Joseph, his sister Holmested's youngest son, to his niece Sarah Holmestead, and to his nephew Richard Holmestead. Thomas Slany also gave legacies to the three children of his sister Bazie, one of whom was doubtless John Bazie of Hartford, who was called cousin in the will of Capt. Richard Olmstead of Norwalk."
