Richard North may have had an unknown first wife. His first known child after his marriage to Joan Bartram in November 1610 was Mary, baptized twenty-three months later in October 1612. There is no room to squeeze both Sarah and Martin into the sequence of births between Mary and John (baptized March 1615/6) unless there were twins. It is possible, however, that Sarah or Martin was born in the thirteen or fourteen month gap between the marriage and the conception of Mary. Richard1 North married (first?) at Olney on 29 November 1610 Joan Bartram.
