1. REUBEN3 HAYS, JR. (REUBEN2, UNKNOWN1) was born WFT Est. 1765-1784, and died Bef. 1823. He married POLLY CARTER 22 Oct 1812 in Greene County, Tennessee. She was born WFT Est. 1775-1790.

Post Reply | Mark Unread Report Abuse Print Message Reuben Hays married Mary Polley Carter on October 22, 1812 in Greene County, Tennessee. William Moyers signed their marriage license. They had atleast three male children., 2 known to be William b. 1814 and John b. 1818. Polley Hays is then found marrying Hiram Fann January 26, 1823 also in Greene County. Their children are Isaac, Talitha, Nancy, Phillip, Moses, Mary, Hiram Jr., Rachel, and George Fann all born in Greene County. They remain there until after 1830 when they relocate to McLeansboro, Hamilton County, Illinois. The Hays boys marry Townsend sisters and some the Fann children marry some of the Foster children once in Illinois. The Fosters and Fanns travelled from Greene County, Tn. to Illinois together.

I am seeking any information on these families. Especially the parentage of Reuben Hays or any information about his death, their divorce , or what became of him. All help is greatly appreciated. As always I am willing to share all I have on these families.
