Perry's obituary reads, "PERRY HARTZELL IS FOUND DEAD. Oil Firm Owner Dies of Heart Attack. Perry Hartzell, 59, of 820 Columbia avenue, president of the Hartzell Oil company, was found dead in a field on his farm two miles northwest of the city at 8:30 o'clock Sunday night. Dr. A. P. Hattendorf, Allen county coroner, said death was due to heart attack. Mr. Hartzell had gone to his farm Sunday morning to burn grass off a field. His family was out of town for the day and he was not missed until relatives instigated a search. The body was discovered by CCC enrollees. Dr. Hattendorf said death occurred about 1:30 p.m. Formerly a real estate dealer, Mr. Hartzell organized the Hartzell Oil company 10 years ago. He also operated a chain of filling stations. Surviving are the widow, Eva; a son, Warren of this city; a daughter, Eilene, at home; a brother, Lee J. Hartzell of this city. The body was removed to C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home." Hartzell, 86, of 820 Columbia Ave., died Sunday morning in Parkview Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient two days. A lifelong resident of Allen County, she is survived by a daughter, Eileen J. Smith, Indianapolis; and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel McCoy, Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. George Morris, Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven."
