Patrick Napier was apparently married twice, based upon the following post: (note: the birthdate for Margaret Napier, daughter of Patrick and Mary Burk is incorrect, she was born bef. 1766, based upon her marriage date with Alexander Montgomery.

Yesterday, I received a piece of information which stated that PATRICK NAPIER, SR., son of ROBERT, JR., and MARY TARLETON HUGHES, was married twice? The first wife is unknown; however, the last name of FRANKLIN is listed on a Augusta County, VA tithetable.

This first marriage resulted in two children: WILLIAM - b. abt 1745, Augusta County, VA; and JOICE NAPIER- b. about 1758, Augusta County, VA.

Does anyone have any documentation on this?

PATRICK NAPIER, SR. married a second time to JUDITH MARY BURK - b. March 10, 1742, in Augusta County, VA. Marriage took place about 1759 - 1760.

  2.   Judith Burk was still single as of July 1764. Edmund Napier , Thomas Hughes Napier, Joice Napier, and possibly Rene Napier were the kids of Patrick Napier Sr and His first wife Ann Franklin. And a possible William , but not proven. Ann Franklin and Patrick Napier are proven in a 1763 Chancery Court Record as still being married in 1763 in Bedford Co, Virginia. Edmund Napier was born in 1752 not 1764
