Orville McCormick married Viola Phipps and settled on a small fishing peninsula named Erieau. Orville passed when Viola was pregnant with her 8th child and she raised them on her own eventually remarrying Burnham. 7 of the children died of cancer one way or another and Lyle committed suicide at a young age.
