Family History
On 24, 31 October, and 7 November 1802 in the parish of St Peter-at-Arches, city of Lincoln, banns of marriage were published for Luke Asmond of St Swithin parish and Elizabeth Overton of St Margaret[-in-the-Close] parish, and they were married in the church by the rector, F. Swan, on 29 November.[1] The marriage was witnessed by Ann Baker (who made her mark) and Benjamin Potterton.

“Banns of Marriage between Luke Asmond & Elizabeth Overton were published on the 24th. & 31st. of October & the 7th. of November 1802[.] The said Luke Asmond of the Parish of St. Swithin in this City and Elizabeth Overton of the Parish of St. Margaret were Married in this Church by Banns this twenty ninth Day of November in the Year One Thousand eight Hundred and two by me F.
