Leonard's obituary reads, "LEONARD A. RYAN, 78, died at 9:05 p.m. Monday at St. Anne Home. A native of New Haven and a lifelong Allen County resident, Mr. Ryan retired in 1966 after about 37 years at International Harvester where he was a machine operator. Surviving are his wife, Bertha; one son, Richard, of Waukesha, Wis.; one sister, Agnes, of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren. Services at 10 a.m. Thursday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 407 Maplecrest Road, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road. Calling from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are to American Red Cross or Masses to the church." Bertha's obituary reads, "BERTHA B. RYAN, 80, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday at Golden Years Homestead. Born in Paulding County, Ohio, she lived in Fort Wayne most of her life. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Leonard A., died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Richard L., of Waukesha, Wis.; four sisters, Zella Sheehan, Cora McIntosh and Goldie Taylor, all of Fort Wayne, and Mary Mowry of New Haven; and two grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. Thursday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery.
