Leonard and Bertha had one son. They lived in New Haven, Indiana. Leonard's obituary reads, "LEONARD A. RYAN, 78, died at 9:05 p.m. Monday at St. Anne Home. A native of New Haven and a lifelong Allen County resident, Mr. Ryan retired in 1966 after about 37 years at International Harvester where he was a machine operator. Surviving are his wife, Bertha; one son, Richard, of Waukesha, Wis.; one sister, Agnes, of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren. Services at 10 a.m. Thursday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 407 Maplecrest Road, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road. Calling from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are to American Red Cross or Masses to the church." Born in Paulding County, Ohio, she lived in Fort Wayne most of her life. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Leonard A., died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Richard L., of Waukesha, Wis.; four sisters, Zella Sheehan, Cora McIntosh and Goldie Taylor, all of Fort Wayne, and Mary Mowry of New Haven; and two grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. Thursday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery.
