    RICHARDSON, Lemuel, m. Mehetable Chapman, Dec. 15, 1709, by John Champman, J.P. [2 35]
[Note: there is no sign of anything untoward in the birth of daughter Mehitable Sep 1709 (no use of the word "reputed", or naming of the mother by her maiden name, etc.), and the birth date in 1709 seems confirmed by her baptism Mar 1709/10, so one suspects this marriage might have been 1608, and perhaps because the date in December being close to year end, it was misrecorded, misread, or misunderstood?]

  2.   Note: Source:Vinton, John Adams. Richardson Memorial, p. 803, incorrectly names the third child as Stephen, bp. 10 Jul 1715. This is clearly an error, being more than two years after the father died. The baptism in Stonington Church Records on that day is for Stephen, s/o Stephen. Unfortunately, Source:Richardson, Rosell L. Amos Richardson of Boston and Stonington, p. 31, lists the three correct children, and then adds a fourth: "Stephen, born in 1713, not mentioned in his father's will, probably born after his death". As no birth record is found, nor is any subsequent activity attributed to this Stephen, this is probably a fictitious person based on Vinton's erroneous claim?
