[Note: this statement also appears in Source:Davis, Walter Goodwin. Ancestry of Sarah Hildreth, 1773-1857, p. 35, but has all the appearance of being a straight copy from Vinton, this source. A footnote in Vinton talks about how the wife's name is spelled in various records, as Mary Parris, but this appears to be referring to her birth record in Groton. So it is not clear where this marriage date ultimately comes from. The marriage record cannot be found in the published records of Groton, Chelmsford or Dunstable?]
