"He was married at Barnstable on July 27, 1742, to Rebecca, daughter of Ebenezer and Rebecca (Russell) Allen of Tisbury, a sister of Ebenezer Allen (A.B. 1726) and a granddaughter of the Reverend Jonathan Russell (A.B. 1675). They raised seven children in the parsonage which stood on a site, now marked by a memorial tablet, at the southeast corner of Mount Pleasant Cemetery."
