Joseph was a farmer.

Joseph and Nora had three sons and three daughters.

Nora's obituary reads, "MRS. NORA DAGER. Mrs. Nora Dager, 74, R. R. 1, Monroeville, died at 9 p.m. yesterday at her home on the Paulding Road after a six-week illness. She had been in failing health several years. A native of Jefferson Township, she was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon, and its Rosary Society. Surviving are her husband, Joseph A.; three daughters, Mrs. Rosella Young of Staksville, Ohio, Mrs. Marguerite Stephenson, Monroeville, and Mrs. Lucille O'Shaughnessey, Lima, Ohio; two sons, Kenneth, Fort Wayen, and Orville, Monroeville; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Oberley, Monroeville; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Marquart Funeral Home, Monroeville, after 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Services are set tentatively for Monday morning." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Friday 10 March 1961, pg. 23]

Joseph's obituary reads, "JOSEPH A. DAGER. Joseph A. Dager, 87, of Monroeville, died early yesterday in Paulding County (Ohio) Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill several years. A retired farmer, he was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth J., Fort Wayne, and Orville, Monroeville; three daughters, Mrs. Homer L. Stephenson, Monroeville, Mrs. George Young, Sarahsville, Ohio, and Mrs. John O'Shaughnessey, Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Gerardot, Monroeville; 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Friends may call at Marquart Funeral Home, Monroeville, after 3:30 p.m. today. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Rose Catholic Church, the Rev. Donald J. Muldoon officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon. Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Monday 8 September 1969, pg. 2A]

They are both buried at the Besanson Cemetery at St. Louis Catholic Church in New Haven, Indiana.
