Since there is some confusion over the identification of Rebecca Lapham as the wife of John Washburn (see also the discussion on Family:Samuel White and Rebecca Lapham (1)), this second version of the Vital Records, apparently a more literal transcription, is useful to illustrate exactly what is known and what is surmised, specifically that his wife is never named in these records.
