It has yet to be established how the witnesses William and Ann Singleton were related to John. The style of William's signature looks similar to that of the William Singleton who married Ann Newcombe at Honington in 1836, where one of the witnesses was a John Singleton with a similar signature to this John's. That William appears to have been baptised at Foston in 1815 and been the son of a John Singleton. It has yet to be established what connection there was between their families.
