John and Rose were married by Rev. F. X. Labonte. Their witnesses were Lafe Girardot and Ellen Ryan.

Rose was 83 years, 11 months and 24 days old when she died.

Rose's obituary reads, "Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Ryan, 83, of 3920 S. Hanna St., will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Marquart Funeral Home, Monroeville, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon, Rev. Fred Cardinali officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ryan died at 6:30 a.m. yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Snyder, following a long illness. A native of Jefferson township, she was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality. Surviving, besides the daughter, are two brothers, Sherman Gerardot, R. R, 7, Fort Wayne, and Henry Gerardot, R. R. 2, New Haven; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. today. Rosary services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Thursday 19 Dec 1963, pg. 7C]

They are both buried at the Besancon Cemetery at St. Louis Catholic Church in New Haven, Indiana. There are photos of each of them on the tombstone.
