    On the seventeenth day of October Eighteen Hundred and Nineteen years - By the Reverend Mr Robert Doig, one of the ministers of Aberdeen, were lawfully married in the said minister's house after due proclamation of banns, John Preston, Sailor in Aberdeen, and Janet Cromar there, daughter of the late James Cromar, Farmer in the parish of Old Machar:- Witnesses, James Jameson, Wright and John Kilby, Merchant, both in Aberdeen
